Weighing concierge peptide care

Care words / Peptide

What is a peptide?

Peptides are substances made from tiny parts linked like beads along a short string. Insulin is one example.

A peptide’s tiny parts form a short chain. Those same parts also make up proteins. The name describes what a substance is made of, rather than what care you need.

The name is the start of the question.

Does “peptide” mean it works?

The name gives no safety guarantee and settles no legal question.

Ask which specific product is under consideration and why. Keep those names in your notes.

Are any peptides approved medicines?

Yes: as of September 2026, US products with semaglutide (Ozempic, Wegovy) and tirzepatide (Mounjaro, Zepbound) have approval from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Approval applies to a specific medicine product and its named uses.

An approved product and a made-to-order version need separate checks.

What name do I write down?

Ask for the ingredient name, product name and form. The ingredient is the part intended to do the work.

A tablet and an injection are different forms. Keep the form beside the name when asking questions.
